Kerri & Matt’s Reception / American Visionary Art Museum

Last night at the American Visionary Art Museum in downtown Baltimore City, Kerri & Matt celebrated their marriage with an excellent party! The reception followed a church ceremony in Kingsville. Cocktails and appetizers were enjoyed by all before DJ Frank introduced the Bridal Party. Parents walked in to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours”, Bridesmaids & Groomsmen to “Give Me Everything” by Pitbull feat. Toasts by the Matron of Honor and Matt’s Brother and Best Man, Peter followed. Rouge Fine Catering knocked it out the park with an amazing stations dinner. An unexpected, but fun dance set came next, pushing the cake cutting and parents dances back a bit as guests were ready to party. DJ Frank wished the Bride’s Grandmother, Lucille a happy 91st birthday before the newlyweds cut their cake to “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers. Kerri and her Father then danced to Rod Stewart’s “Forever Young” and Matt and his Mom danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. The rest of the night flew by and the dance floor was always packed with folks dancing to songs by Bryan Adams, Fat Joe, The Beatles, Nelly, Bruno Mars, The Contours, John Denver and many more. Just before heading out for their after party, Mr. & Mrs. Murphy were joined by all the guests for one last song; “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond. We loved working with Kerri & Matt to create their vision and we’re pretty sure their vision came true! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Murphy!

Stacey & Justin’s Wedding + Reception / Water’s Edge Event Center

Last night was such a fun party! Stacey & Justin’s wedding celebration at Water’s Edge Event Center in Belcamp, MD was one to remember. The evening began with a ceremony overlooking the Bush River with Officiant Natalie Taylor of Weddings Quick and Sweet taking the helm. A recessional to Sam Hunt’s “Body Like A Back Road” led into a cocktail hour with guests enjoying drinks and appetizers outside during the last Saturday of the Summer. Once everyone found their seats inside the ballroom, DJ Frank introduced the Bridal Party and then the new Mr. & Mrs. Hamilton came in to “I Do” by Young Jeezy (feat. Jay Z & Andre 3000). Stacey & Justin then danced their first dance to “In Case You Didn’t Know” by Brett Young. A blessing by Justin’s Grandfather (Pop) and toasts by the Matron Of Honor (Stacey’s Sister) and both Best Men all took place before guests enjoyed salads and a delicious served meal. As dinner began to wrap up, the Bride and her Father danced to Sam Cooke’s  “Nothing Can Change This Love” and then Justin and his Mother danced to Eric Church’s “Like Jesus Does”. ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” opened up the dancing portion of the night and guests were quick to fill the dance floor. DJ Frank received a slew of requests ranging from songs by Aretha Franklin, Bob Seger and The Beatles to Mase, Notorious B.I.G., Nelly, Drake and many more. There were cupcakes provided by Flavor Cupcakery for guests to enjoy, but no other formal events, just a super fun dance party! Before heading out to Bush Mill Tavern for their after party, the last song of the night became three last songs as this crowd didn’t want the celebration to end. Officially, Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” was to be the last song, but Drake’s “One Dance” actually closed it all out. We loved working with Stacey & Justin to create their vision and we couldn’t have done it without the help of the wonderful team at Water’s Edge and the ladies from Anna Schmidt Photography.

Tracy & Jason’s Wedding + Reception / Falling Branch Brewery

Street, MD in Northern Harford County is home to rolling hills, farmlands and Falling Branch Brewery, Harford County‚Äôs first farm brewery. It has been a part of the Galbreath family for nearly a century. This wonderful venue was the choice of Tracy & Jason for their wedding and celebration last night. The evening started with an outdoor ceremony that ended with a recessional to “Jessica” by The Allman Brothers Band. Cocktails inside the Brewery’s Barn and outside on their patio/beer garden area followed. DJ Frank introduced the newlyweds in to the reception for their first “performance” as Husband & Wife. Yes, not a first dance, but a live instrumental performance of an Avenged Sevenfold song. An amazing buffet meal provided by the nice folks from Mission BBQ came next. Tracy & Jason respectfully asked DJ Frank not to play any Top 40 tunes or any of the usual wedding selections. Instead, they preferred classic rock and roll music from artists such as Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, John Mellencamp, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Billy Joel and more. A cake cutting to Johnny Flynn’s “Detectorists” was really the only time we paused the dancing and a last song; “Kissed Me I’m #!@*faced” by Dropkick Murphy’s wrapped up a wonderful celebration. We made some new friends in Mr. & Mrs. Wettig and we appreciate them having us as their entertainment. It was great to work with Photographer Janet Fulcher, Flavor Cupcakery, Mission BBQ and the Falling Branch Brewery Staff. The entire day was held together wonderfully by Jenn with Moore & Co. Event Stylists and we thank her for her professionalism. Great couple, venue and vendor team = a magical evening for Tracy & Jason!

The newlyweds were introduced in to the ballroom by DJ Frank and danced to “Tenerife” by Ed Sheeran for their first dance as Mr. & Mrs. Wilson. Toasts by Kris’s Best Man and Kaelyn’s Sisters preceded a wonderful meal set up in various stations throughout the venue by the nice folks with Simply Elegant Catering. This kept people up and moving and set the tone for a really fun and upbeat dinner service with music that reflected that vibe. The Bride surprised her Mother with a dance to The Eagles “Hotel California” and that was followed by Kris and his Mother’s dance to Rod Stewart’s version of “Have I Told You Lately”. Guests then joined Kaelyn & Kris as they cut the cake to Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake” and then the celebration really began. The dance floor was full, animated and fun the entire evening and our good friend James Berglie of Be Photography was there to capture it all. DJ Frank spun requests for songs by Drake, Fetty Wap, ABBA, Bruno Mars, Kevin Lyttle, Sia and more. The newlyweds and many of their closest friends are all graduates of West Virginia University so naturally John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” needed to be played and leading in to the last song was just about the perfect time as everyone circled around the Bride & Groom, singing along to the country classic. Before heading out for their after party, Mr. & Mrs. Wilson and the remaining guests danced to “Until The Sunrise” by Timeflies. So much love and such a great party! We were honored to have been asked to play for Kaelyn & Kris’s big day and we wish them all the best!

The Millers cut their cake as “Johnny B. Goode” by Chuck Berry was playing and then the party continued and was so good it was extended by a half hour! As we closed out an awesome night, DJ Frank played Semisonic’s “Closing Time”, thanked the crowed for staying late and congratulated Alaina & John. Michael Buble’s version of “Save The Last Dance For Me” and The Grateful Dead’s cover of “Good Lovin'” rounded out the night musically. Thanks to the friendly staff at Irish Eyes Restaurant & Pub and to the newlyweds for their easy going, fun filled approach.
