
Who is Frank Marsden?
Born and raised in Harford County, Maryland – and proud to still call it home – I bring one of the most unique backgrounds in the local DJ and MC industry.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Towson University in 1993. Years laters, I had the opportunity to teach radio broadcasting to students at Harford Community College, sharing my passion for music, media, and live entertainment.
Before returning home, I spent six years living in Ocean City, Maryland, where I hosted a daily radio show, and continued developing my skills behind the mic.
My experience spans nightclubs, radio, public appearances, private celebrations, weddings, and corporate events – giving me depth of experience that few DJs in the region can match.
Unlike many Baltimore-area DJs, this has never been a side job for me. This industry has always been my career, my craft, and my passion.
That depth of experience is why wedding venues, planners, and couples trust me to help guide one of the most important days of their lives. From coordinating seamlessly with planners and photographers to maintaining a smooth reception timeline and creating a dance floor that brings generations together, my focus is always on making the celebration feel natural, elegant, and unforgettable. We Meet Before Signing a Contract…
1. Before You Book:
After you contact me, I will reach out personally to discuss your plans and schedule a first meeting. Your initial consultation can take place:
* In person (Bel Air, MD area)
* By phone
* By FaceTime
After our first conversation, I’ll email you a wedding entertainment contract and hold your date for 7 business days.
To officially secure your date:
* Return the signed contract
* Include a 50% deposit (or full payment)
Once both are received, your date is fully reserved.
2. Booking and Payment Polices:
After your deposit and contract are received:
* Your event is entered into the DJ Intelligence system
* You receive an email with your login credentials
* All remaining planning tools become available
Final Meeting Requirement:
You are responsible for scheduling a final meeting with Friendly Entertainment no later than 30 days before your event. At that time:
* Your full timeline will be finalized
* All song requests will be reviewed
* Your remaining balance is due

When you book Friendly Entertainment, you gain 24/7 access to a powerful online planning portal featuring:
* Full music database with search and preview
* Create must-play, play-if-possible, and do-not-play lists
* Build your custom playlists for every part of your day

Your wedding receives professional-grade audio and lighting, and there are no extra charges for any equipment.

* EV powered speakers
* Sennheiser wireless microphones
* Shure wireless microphones

I never upsell equipment or try to add unnecessary upgrades – everything needed for an exceptional experience is included.
5. Areas I Serve:
* Harford County and venues across MD, PA, and DE.
All travel within 50 miles of Bel Air, Maryland is included at no charge.
6. Who Will Be Your DJ/MC?

Emergency Backup Policy:
In the unlikely case of a personal emergency, a professional DJ/MC from my trusted network will be available. If I’m not personally available for an event date (very rare), I’m always happy to recommend another qualified DJ/MC.
7. Setup Policy:
I arrive 1.5 hours before your scheduled start time to ensure everything is fully set up, tested, and ready to go before your first guest walks in.
