Frank Marsden is his actual name. If your were expecting a lame and cheesy DJ name like almost everyone seems to have, sorry-not-sorry. Born, raised and still residing in Harford County, MD, he’s a real DJ & MC with one of the most unique industry experiences in the area. He completed his B.A. in Mass Communications at Towson University in 1993. Years later, he enjoyed teaching radio to Harford Community College students followed by a move to the beach for 6 years where he hosted a daily radio show in Ocean City, MD. Frank’s background in nightclubs, in addition to public appearances, and private events makes him one of the areas most experienced professionals. Unlike a majority of the Baltimore area DJs, this industry has always been his career and not something he does “on the side.” You’ll be hard pressed finding another DJ in the area that possesses this kind of unique experience. His style is low key and approachable and he will never steal the spotlight because it’s your day. No jokes, stories or plugs. His philosophy is that a truly great DJ, just for a moment, can make a whole room fall in love. He believes DJing is not about choosing a few tunes. It is about generating shared moods; it’s about understanding the feelings of a group of people and directing them to a better place. He also feels that in the hands of a master, songs create rituals of spiritual communion that can be the most powerful events in people’s lives. Frank started the business in 1989 and he has and will continue to be passionate and committed to Friendly Entertainment.
Simmone Marsden is originally from Detroit, MI, then moved to Sarasota, FL as a teenager. While visiting friends in Maryland she met and fell in love with Frank and became a permanent resident of Harford County. Simmone is co-owner of Friendly Entertainment and the director of operations. She’s quick to respond and welcome new couples who are planning their big day, as well as clients who are planning a private event. She can answer any questions you may have throughout the planning process and make sure that all of your details are taken care of. Simmone is also an ordained minister and can provide Officiating Services for your ceremony.
