It was a beautiful night in Joppa to get married! Athena & Paul did just that yesterday at Mountain Branch Golf Club. After they said "I do" the drinks and hors d'oeuvres were flowing! Live music for cocktail hour was provided by Trio Caliente and was followed by the bridal party and the bride and groom's grand entrance into the reception to "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars. Mr. & Mrs. Morevac danced their very first dance as a married couple to "I Don't Dance" by Lee Brice while photographers from Bradley Images captured it digitally. Paul & Athena wanted an all out dance party and that's exactly what they got! Friends, not clients...that how I felt working with Katie & Ben to plan their big day and yesterday was it! The Vandiver Inn located in Havre de Grace was where it all happened. After saying "I do", Mr. & Mrs. Ginn along with their favorite people enjoyed cocktails and munchies provided by The Vandiver's amazing staff. I introduced Katie & Ben for the first time as a married couple and they danced their first dance to "Buddy" by Willie Nelson. Everyone enjoyed a superb meal put together by Chef Susan and then...we danced...a lot! We stayed away from the usual Top 40 hits, but rather played tunes from artists such as Old Crow Medicine Show, The Killers, Tom Petty, Eddie Money and more. Stevensville on Maryland's Eastern Shore was the setting for Amy & Nick's ceremony and reception yesterday at The Kent Manor Inn. It was a beautiful day to get married as Mother Nature smiled down upon us and good vibes filled the air. After the groom's father married the happy couple, guests were treated to a magnificent cocktail hour on the back lawn of the Inn. Mr. & Mrs. Hallis and their bridal party made their grand entrance into the reception to Mark Ronson & Bruno Mar's "Uptown Funk" and followed that up with a first dance to "I Love You This Big" by Scotty McCreery. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Elloff! Katie & Mark were married and celebrated with their favorites yesterday at Rockfield Manor in Bel Air, MD. The weather Gods were smiling on us all weekend and yesterday was an exceptional day to tie the knot. Following an outdoor ceremony, guests enjoyed eats and drinks provided by Atlantic Catering. The bridal party's grand entrance was followed by the newlyweds first dance to Ellie Goulding's version of "Your Song". Parents dances, toasts and dinner preceded the dancing and once they started dancing they never stopped! Lots of classics kept the dance floor packed with tunes by The Rolling Stones, The Blues Brothers, George Clinton as well as The Clash, Ray Charles and The Pogues filling the air. Last night Angela & Brian celebrated their nuptials at The Waverly Mansion in Marriottsville, MD. This historic mansion was home to Governor Howard in the 1700's and provides an elegant wooded setting with beautiful gardens. Guests enjoyed the picture perfect weather with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres outside before heading into the tented area for the reception. The bride and groom entered the reception along with their parents and bridal party and then had their first dance as Mr. & Mrs. Frazee to Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud". During dinner Angela's sorority sisters and the Brian's fraternity brothers both took turns serenading the bride and showered her with flowers. Dancing started before guests could even finish their meal! Hits from Pitbull, Katy Perry and Niki Minaj as well as classics by Tom Petty, Cheap Trick and Queen kept everyone dancing and singing [...]

Yesterday in Havre de Grace, Robin & Scott said "I do" at The Vandiver Inn. Frank Sinatra's "Ring-A-Ding" followed the kiss and the presentation of the bride and groom and set a classy  tone for the rest of the evening. John & Susan, owners of the Vandiver Inn and their staff were on point as usual and provided a buffet meal that was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed working along side my friend, Photographer James Berglie of Be Photography as he skillfully captured all the fun memories. Desserts by Rita created one the tastiest cakes I have ever tried and Smile For The Birdeee Photobooth was set up for guests to strike a pose! The Maryland Zoo's Mansion House in Baltimore hosted Merrie & William's wedding reception last night. As usual the Zoomobile stopped by and a few fuzzy and furry friends dropped in to wish the newlyweds all the best. Cocktails and great eats were provided by Laurrapin Grille Catering, memories were captured by Nancy Anderson Cordell Photography and a first in my 20+ years, artist Brittany Sims captured the evening on canvas. Fittingly, Mr. & Mrs. Hicks danced their first dance as a married couple to "A Girl Named Mary And A Boy Named Bill" by Dean Martin. Jazz for cocktails and classics for dancing followed. I enjoyed the fact that these two selected songs from Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and more rather then the typical wedding party songs. Yesterday Nicole & Jeff became Mr. & Mrs. Wilkinson. After a ceremony at The Concord Lighthouse along the Chesapeake Bay they celebrated with their closest friends and their family at La Banque de Fleuve in Havre de Grace. Great eats were provided by Laurrapin Catering and photos were handled by photographer Jonathan Smith of Weddings by Jonathan. The newlyweds danced their first dance to Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" and then boogied along with their guests to hits from Bruno Mars, Vanilla Ice, Maroon 5 and more. Closing out the night with a last dance to Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" was a great way to end a wonderful party. Guests followed Nicole & Jeff out the door and up the road to The Laurrapin for  a nightcap. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Wilkinson!

My friends Erica & Glenn got married last night at Steppingstone Farm Museum in The Susquehanna State Park located in Havre de Grace and then had an awesome party to celebrate! A ceremony that featured the Susquehanna River and beautiful park lands in the background was followed by a cocktail hour, introductions and a first dance to Ingrid Michaelson's version of "Can't Help Falling In Love". Steppingstone's Carriage Barn served as the setting for Mr. & Mrs. Hamilton's reception/party and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Requests for songs by Dave Matthews Band, LL Cool J, Wilson Phillips and Michael Jackson kept this party crowd grooving and singing all night. Loved working with these two to make their big day everything they'd dreamed of. Congratulations to Erica & Glenn!

A lazy Sunday afternoon in Joppa was the perfect setting for Mary & Chris's wedding + reception at Mountain Branch Golf Club. Under blue skies overlooking the golf course, Mary & Chris became Mr. & Mr. Ruley in front of their family and closet friends. Immediately following the ceremony the Mountain Branch staff served up some amazing hors d'oeuvres to guests as they enjoyed cocktail hour. The newlyweds made their way into the reception and went straight into their first dance which was "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz. The tent was decorated in orange and featured amazing flower arrangements by Ann's Garden. My good friend Bill Rettberg with Images of Sommer photographed all the fun and there was lots of it for a Sunday afternoon.
