Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Cleaver! Meg & Ryan became the Cleavers last night in Baltimore, MD. They did it in style at one of the more unique venues in the area, The MD Zoo. With Officiant Heather Saul guiding them through the ceremony Meg & Ryan said their "I do's" in front of their closet friends and family members at the Lakeside Pavilion and then headed up to the Mansion House where they were greeted by two of the Zoo's animal ambassadors, a penguin and a raven. After being introduced into their reception to "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses, the bride and groom welcomed everyone and then settled in for dinner. Yesterday evening I was at the The Cloisters Castle in Lutherville, MD for Melissa & Bruce's wedding reception. This beautiful venue was the perfect location for the newlyweds...casual, relaxed and fun just like the bride and groom. I had the pleasure of working with Zeffert and Gold Catering, one the area's finest as well as Butch & Carrie Linton of Linton Photography...a great team of vendors! Mr. & Mrs. St. Clair opened up the dancing just after the bridal party introductions to "I won't give up" by Jason Mraz and then the bride and her father opening up the party dancing to Pharrell Williams's "Happy" followed by nearly every guest joining in. For an early wedding that ended at 8 pm, these folks partied like it was going on midnight! A first for me, the fire alarm went off just before the last [...]

Sam & Mike's wedding and reception last night turned into quite the shindig! They became Mr. & Mrs. Maile in front of their friends and family on the patio of Hunt Valley Golf Club in Phoenix, MD and then the staff turned the same space into a fun and festive area for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Guests were invited into the ballroom and I introduced the bridal party and then the bride and groom into their first dance. Sam & Mike danced to Zac Brown Band's "Whatever it is". Before dinner was even over guests were dancing to a set of Motown tunes! They came to party and they didn't stop until midnight. I got the crowd to circle up on the dance floor around Mr. & Mrs. Maile for their last song request and everyone sang at the top of their lungs [...]

Last night was incredible! From the officiant to the caterer to the last dance, everything was just about perfect. Dana & Aaron held their ceremony and reception at Brittland Manor in Chestertown, MD and in my 20+ years in the wedding industry I can't say I've been to a more beautiful venue or a better party. After the ceremony Eleven Courses Catering wined and dined the guests with an amazing meal. The food and quality of service was so good I had to add them to my favorite vendors list! Photographer Natalie Franke and her team captured every second of the evening and were great to work with. The newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Frederick danced their first dance as husband and wife to "Hold on" by Michael Bublé and ended the night with all the couples joining them on the dance floor [...]

Two amazing ladies got married yesterday and I'm so happy they chose me as their DJ/MC. The MD Zoo was a unique and beautiful setting for these two to say "I do" and celebrate with their friends and family. The evening started at the Lakeside Pavilion with Joanne & Julie exchanging some of the most powerful and sincere vows I've ever heard. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the Mansion House followed the ceremony. The ladies danced their first dance to Mary Lambert's "She keeps me warm" and then sat down to a three course meal provided by RSVP Catering. I think they probably invited everyone they knew and nobody declined because the Mansion House was filled to capacity! They invited some fun people as they danced non-stop. The night closed with everyone dancing and singing along to Donna Summer's "Last dance". [...]

It was a beautiful evening for a wedding at The MD Zoo's Mansion House in Baltimore last night. Cathy & Ben became Mr. & Mrs. Weishaar and then partied with their friends and family to celebrate. Cocktail hour was a hit as some of the zoo's animal ambassadors joined the guests. Cathy & Ben danced their first dance as husband and wife to Zac Brown Band's "Free". Atlantic Catering kept everyones taste buds and bellies happy and Laura Olson with In His Grace Photography captured all the fun. We ended the night with a great crowd sing along to O.A.R.'s "Crazy game of poker" and then slowed it down with "Every night" by Imagine Dragons so that all the couples could join the bride and groom for one last dance.

Big time party last night at Towson Golf & Country Club! Mr. & Mrs. Noonan's wedding reception was one of my favorites of the 2014 wedding season. An extended cocktail hour had their guests ready to dance before the meal even ended! Megan & Chris danced their first dance as a married couple to "Wanted" by Hunter Hayes and ended the night with a 2 song combo with John Legend's "All of me" followed by Drake's "Hold on, we're going home". Their guests danced to old school hip hop and the latest Top 40 hits ALL night! I can't wait to see the photos as Rachel Smith Photography captured all the fun. Good vibes and an awesome party crowd reminded me how much I love my job.

Kelly & Adam became Mr. & Mrs. Barowy yesterday at the Vandiver Inn. It was a perfect afternoon in Havre de Grace to celebrate a marriage and celebrate they did! One of my favorites, Reverend David Flaherty (a "rockstar" officiant!) married the happy couple, cocktails flowed, dinner was amazing and a cake by Deserts by Rita capped things off. John Legend's "All of Me" was the song that Kelly & Adam chose for their first dance as husband and wife and Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" was chosen as their last song to end the festivities. The party crowd headed to MacGregor's Restaurant along the waters edge after that. Great day for a wedding!

It was a beautiful evening for a wedding and a chilly night for a reception at Swan Harbor Farm. No worries, Mr. & Mrs. Rubin and their guests started dancing before dinner even ended...and they never stopped! Jenna & Mike selected Anthony Hamilton's "Dear Life" from the Step Up soundtrack for their first dance and ended with John Legend's "All of Me". In between the bride and groom and their family and friends kept the dance floor packed grooving to everything from old-school Michael Jackson to "Fancy" by Iggy Izalea. An excellent meal provided by Dean and Brown Catering, flowers by Amanda's Florist and photos by Annabelle Dando Photography contributed to making this night perfect. Great party!

Kate & Phillip held their ceremony and reception at Swan Harbor Farm in Havre de Grace last night. They invited a big group (nearly 170 guests) and I'd say all of them were on the dance floor at one point in the night. Mr. & Mrs. Hooker danced their first dance as a married couple along with their beautiful little girl Evelyn to "Oh Love" by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Guests wined and dined to an amazing meal provided by Jason & Julie's hard working staff from Sterling Caterers. The night ended with all the guests surrounding the bride and groom and dancing along to John Legend's "All of me". Magical night!
