We love a good barn wedding and Saturday’s celebration of Amber & Todd was amazing! The Vineyard of Mary’s Meadows in Darlington, MD hosted the celebration that started with a ceremony behind the Vineyard’s barn. First the Groom, his Groomsmen, Parents, and the Bridesmaids walked down the aisle to the Vitamin String Quartet’s version of “This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)”. Amber followed them with a processional to “Marry Me” by Train. After repeating their vows and sealing them with a kiss, “Kiss Me” by Sixpence Non The Richer was played for their recessional. Cocktail hour took place in the lower level of the barn after the ceremony. Later on, everyone moved upstairs for the remainder of the reception. DJ Frank Marsden formally introduced Parents and Bridal Party members in to various songs selected by the Bride & Groom and then introduced for the first time, Mr. & Mrs. Bakalyar in to “Something Just Like This” by The Chainsmokers & Coldplay. Their official first dance was next and Amber & Todd selected Haley Reinhart’s version of “Can’t Help Falling In Love”. Amber’s Father welcomed everyone after the first dance and then the Hunt Valley Catering Staff opened up the dinner buffet. After the last table made their way through the line and found their seats, Stephanie and Nick, the Maid of Honor and Best Man both made a toast to the newlyweds. Amber and her Father danced to Heartland’s “I Loved Her First”, Todd and his Mother danced to “Humble And Kind” by Tim McGraw, cake was cut to “Sugar” by Maroon 5, and then the celebration continued. Songs by artist like King Harvest, The Police, Haddaway, Earth Wind & Fire, The Proclaimers, The Killers, and many more had the Vineyard’s barn rocking! An anniversary dance and an apron dance and lots of dancing rounded out a wonderful celebration. Before guests made their way out for a sparkler send off, the sounds of John Denver’s “Take Me Home Country Roads” filled the air and had them all singing along. Thanks to our friends at the Vineyard, the ladies with Affairs Extraordinaire by Marta, the hardworking crew with Hunt Valley Catering, Editing Life Videography, Brooke Mattingly Photography, and the new Mr. & Mrs. Bakalyar for a great night!
