The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is a wonderful and very unique venue for a wedding celebration. Last night, Elizabeth & Robert and their families and friends enjoyed a magical evening there. Their ceremony featured string quartet selections and a recessional to The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven”.
Cocktails and appetizers were enjoyed during the following hour and one of the Zoo’s Animal Ambassadors stopped by. Following cocktail hour, guests were invited to their seats for formal introductions. Each couple walked in to a specific song and Elizabeth & Ryan selected “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses for their grand entrance. Their first dance came after intros and it was to Pearl Jam’s “Future Days”.
After toasts, a blessing, and a buffet line dinner, the Bride and her Father danced together to “Forever” by The Beach Boys and Robert and his Mother chose “Let it Be” by The Beatles for their dance. All the couples were invited to join the newlyweds for the next song, a slow dance to Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away”.
The remainder of the night featured great tunes hand picked by Elizabeth & Robert, some sweet dance moves, an apron dance, a cake cutting with Berger cookies for the guests, Eddie Money’s “Take Me Home Tonight” for the last song, and a glow stick send off outside of the Mansion House.
