Sunday afternoon was a celebration of Elaine & Patrick at the Vandiver Inn located in Havre de Grace, MD. The festivities began at 1:30 PM with a ceremony in the Inn’s temperature controlled outdoor pavilion. Prelude music was played live provided by a bag pipe player, the Bridal party walked down the aisle to “Hard to Concentrate” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Bride chose “Red is the Rose” by the High Kings for her processional. After being presented as Husband & Wife, Elaine & Patrick recessed to live music played on the bag pipe. Cocktails were enjoyed by all inside the Mansion House while the ceremony space was turned into a reception space. After everyone found their table and seats, the Bride & Groom were formally introduced into the reception and they danced to Flogging Molly’s “If I every leave this World Alive”. There were toasts by parents of the newlyweds, and a blessing before the buffet meal. Later on, Elaine and her Father danced to Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t worry be happy” for about thirty seconds and then DJ Frank invited Patrick and his Mother to join in before mixing into the Beatles “In My Life”. For a Sunday wedding, there was plenty of dancing! Songs by artists like Prince, Cupid, B-52’s, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bootsy Collins, and more had Elaine & Patrick’s friends and families grooving away on the dance floor. The newlyweds cut their cake, dessert was enjoyed, the dancing continued, and all was well. Congratulations to a wonderful couple!
