Yesterday in Havre de Grace, Robin & Scott said "I do" at The Vandiver Inn. Frank Sinatra's "Ring-A-Ding" followed the kiss and the presentation of the bride and groom and set a classy  tone for the rest of the evening. John & Susan, owners of the Vandiver Inn and their staff were on point as usual and provided a buffet meal that was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed working along side my friend, Photographer James Berglie of Be Photography as he skillfully captured all the fun memories. Desserts by Rita created one the tastiest cakes I have ever tried and Smile For The Birdeee Photobooth was set up for guests to strike a pose! The Maryland Zoo's Mansion House in Baltimore hosted Merrie & William's wedding reception last night. As usual the Zoomobile stopped by and a few fuzzy and furry friends dropped in to wish the newlyweds all the best. Cocktails and great eats were provided by Laurrapin Grille Catering, memories were captured by Nancy Anderson Cordell Photography and a first in my 20+ years, artist Brittany Sims captured the evening on canvas. Fittingly, Mr. & Mrs. Hicks danced their first dance as a married couple to "A Girl Named Mary And A Boy Named Bill" by Dean Martin. Jazz for cocktails and classics for dancing followed. I enjoyed the fact that these two selected songs from Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and more rather then the typical wedding party songs. Yesterday Nicole & Jeff became Mr. & Mrs. Wilkinson. After a ceremony at The Concord Lighthouse along the Chesapeake Bay they celebrated with their closest friends and their family at La Banque de Fleuve in Havre de Grace. Great eats were provided by Laurrapin Catering and photos were handled by photographer Jonathan Smith of Weddings by Jonathan. The newlyweds danced their first dance to Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" and then boogied along with their guests to hits from Bruno Mars, Vanilla Ice, Maroon 5 and more. Closing out the night with a last dance to Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" was a great way to end a wonderful party. Guests followed Nicole & Jeff out the door and up the road to The Laurrapin for  a nightcap. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Wilkinson!

My friends Erica & Glenn got married last night at Steppingstone Farm Museum in The Susquehanna State Park located in Havre de Grace and then had an awesome party to celebrate! A ceremony that featured the Susquehanna River and beautiful park lands in the background was followed by a cocktail hour, introductions and a first dance to Ingrid Michaelson's version of "Can't Help Falling In Love". Steppingstone's Carriage Barn served as the setting for Mr. & Mrs. Hamilton's reception/party and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Requests for songs by Dave Matthews Band, LL Cool J, Wilson Phillips and Michael Jackson kept this party crowd grooving and singing all night. Loved working with these two to make their big day everything they'd dreamed of. Congratulations to Erica & Glenn!

A lazy Sunday afternoon in Joppa was the perfect setting for Mary & Chris's wedding + reception at Mountain Branch Golf Club. Under blue skies overlooking the golf course, Mary & Chris became Mr. & Mr. Ruley in front of their family and closet friends. Immediately following the ceremony the Mountain Branch staff served up some amazing hors d'oeuvres to guests as they enjoyed cocktail hour. The newlyweds made their way into the reception and went straight into their first dance which was "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz. The tent was decorated in orange and featured amazing flower arrangements by Ann's Garden. My good friend Bill Rettberg with Images of Sommer photographed all the fun and there was lots of it for a Sunday afternoon. As weddings go...this one rocked! Michelle & Jacob said "I do" and then enjoyed a huge celebration on their family farm; Grimmel Farm in Jarretsville. I was the DJ/MC for the bride's sister's wedding 6 years ago so I knew this family and how much fun they would be. Working along side the ladies from Moore & Co. and Kimberly Brooke Photography as well as folks from Lavon Films and Simply Elegant Catering, we knocked it out of the park! 280 family members and guests were wined and dined and then partied hard! Michelle & Jacob danced their first dance as a married couple to "I Cross My Heart" by George Strait and their guests grooved through the night to music ranging from Steve Earle, The Beatles and Van Morrison to Conway Twitty, Salt-N-Pepa and The Rolling Stones. I made my way across the Bay Bridge yesterday for Chrissie & Eric's wedding and reception at The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. What a great venue and perfect day to get married! After a short and sweet ceremony guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while overlooking the Bay. The newlyweds made their grand entrance into the ballroom along with their V.I.P.'s and headed straight into their first dance as a married couple which was The Eli Young Band's "Crazy Girl". Chrissie's bridesmaids were so much fun and they were out dancing before the meal even ended! Their good energy must have been contagious as the majority of guests found there way to the dance floor much earlier then I had anticipated. Last night at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore Dana & CJ became husband and wife and then celebrated with a party in the Zoo's Mansion House. Mr. & Mrs. Ayd had their bridal party walk into The White Stripes "Seven Nation Army" and then they made their grand entrance to Nelly's "Hot In Here". CJ is the Ravens fan and his wife is a Redskins fan. No compromise there! A first dance to The Eagles "Love Will Keep Us Alive" followed the introductions. Rouge Catering kept the guests fed and well hydrated with an amazing meal and a full bar. I enjoyed working along side DBryant Photography and Videographer Frank Ayd who captured every moment and memory. Yesterday at The Vandiver Inn near the mouth of The Chesapeake Bay in Havre de Grace, Yvonne & David became Mr. & Mrs. Smith! It was a family affair on their end and mine as my wife, Reverend Simmone Marsden with Ceremony Officiants married Yvonne & David and then turned it over to me to entertain them. I had known that David was a graduate of my alma mater, however I hadn't realized that my mother had been his nursery school teacher! As usual The Vandiver staff knocked it out of the park in their usual way with great food, service and unlimited smiles. It was a beautiful Sunday in Havre de Grace, MD to get married and that's exactly what Tammy & Jason did today at The Vandiver Inn. Surrounded by their family members and closest friends they were married by Officiant Natalie Tyler and became Mr. & Mrs. McNair. Cocktail hour followed the ceremony and after their grand entrance the bride and groom danced their first dance as a married couple to a classic, "At Last" by Etta James. The reception/party followed and requests for songs by artists like Meghan Trainor, Bruno Marrs and Christina Perri kept the guests up and grooving.
