Rachel & Greg’s wedding reception at the Maryland Zoo’s Mansion House last night was a wonderful celebration of love, family and friends. DJ Frank enjoyed working with this super sweet couple. The evening started with a cocktail hour on the front porch as our friends from Laurrapin Catering served up amazing hor d’oeuvres and drinks while some of the Zoo’s animal ambassadors stopped by to greet guests. Introductions featured the theme from Jurassic Park by composer John Williams and then the new Mr. & Mrs. Murphy danced for the first time as a married couple to Joshua Radin’s version of “Only You”. Toasts by the Best Man and Matron of Honor and a blessing preceded a served meal and that was followed by Greg and his Mother dancing to “The Rainbow Connection” by Kermit the Frog. This group of 120+ guests instantly hit the dance floor and really didn’t stop until the last song was over. Songs by artists like The Commodores, Dave Matthews Band, DNCE, Bruce Springsteen, Rick Astley, Justin Bieber and more were requested, played and grooved to! A cake cutting to Adam Sandler’s “I Wanna Grow Old With You” and a bouquet toss to “Single Ladies” by Beyonce rounded out the night’s formal events. Before guests followed the newlyweds out for their after party, they all danced to the last song of the night: “Take Me Home Tonight” by Eddie Money. Thanks to the Zoo’s staff, Laurrapin Catering, Lacey Reapsome Photography, Last Avalon Films and to Rachel & Greg aka Mr. & Mrs. Murphy for a wonderful night!
