Yesterday afternoon in Darlington, MD, Amber & Christopher tied the knot! Their wedding + reception were both held at the Vineyards of Mary’s Meadows. The couple’s plans for an outdoor ceremony didn’t happen due to the rain, but they were able to use the lower barn area and “Plan B” went off without a hitch. The Bride’s Uncle Charlie officiated the ceremony that ended with a recessional to Reliant K’s “The Best Thing”. Everyone enjoyed cocktails and appetizers before heading upstairs to the upper barn area for formal introductions and dinner. DJ Frank Marsden got the Bridal Party together and introduced them into the reception while playing “Marry Me” by Jason Derulo. Amber & Chris then danced their first dance as a married couple to Dan + Shay’s “From The Ground Up” before toasts, a blessing, and a buffet meal provided by the folks with Mission BBQ. The Bride and her Father shared a dance during dinner to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland and then Chris and his Mother danced to “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion. A cake was cut, cupcakes and other snacks were enjoyed and then we moved the party back down to the barn’s lower area for drinks and dancing. We kicked off the party with “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston and followed that with hits from Lady Gaga, The Rednex, Chris Brown, Silento, Outkast and many more. Midway through the reception, the Bride tossed her bouquet to the girls while “Single Ladies” by Beyonce was playing. Mrs. Colburn was then asked to take a seat while “Pony” by Ginuwine was played and her husband removed her garter. That was it for formal events, the remainder of the night all about the party. All parties must end, and Amber & Chris’s came to a close with all couples joining them on the dance floor for a dance to “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton. We wish Mr. & Mrs. Colburn all the best and thank our fellow vendors and the wonderful team at the Vineyards of Mary’s Meadows for being a part of yesterday’s happy little production!
