Friday night was one of those perfect Spring evenings. The Vandiver Inn located along the Chesapeake Bay in Havre de Grace, MD was the perfect setting for Barbara & David’s celebration. As a small group of family and friends watched, Barbara & David said “I do” under the Inn’s outdoor pavilion and then made their way into the Mansion House for cocktail hour. The Inn’s pavilion was then transformed into a reception space before DJ Frank Marsden invited guests back out and then formally introduced the newlyweds and played “At Last” by Etta James for their first dance. A toast, a blessing, salads and a buffet meal preceded the dance party. Music by artists such as Al Green, Michael Jackson, Dion, Justin Timberlake, ABBA, the B-52’s, and many more had everyone dancing and singing along throughout the rest of the evening. We loved the simplicity of last night’s festivities. ┬áNo bells and whistles, none of the usual wedding reception formalities, just a party. We wrapped up Barbara & David’s big day with a last dance for all the couples to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. As always, thanks to the Vandiver Staff for a job well done and a big virtual high five to the newlyweds.
