The Hotel Monaco is an elegant downtown landmark in Baltimore City and was the setting for Emily & Tim’s wedding reception last night. The bride and groom joined their family and friends for cocktail hour prior to their grand entrance to “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge featuring Run DMC. The newlyweds danced their first dance to “Sideways” by Citizen Cope then toasts by the Bride’s Sisters and the Groom’s Brothers and some fun and loving words from Emily’s Father followed. We can’t say enough positive things about the Hotel’s friendly staff, beautiful interior and the meal they served. Guests from Maryland, New Jersey and upstate New York filled the dance floor making requests and grooving to hits by artists like Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Nelly, James Brown, Usher and many more. Taking the simplified approach to their reception, Emily & Tim stayed away from most of the traditional events in lieu of a dance party. Judging by the amount of guests dancing, the sing-alongs and the smiles on everyone’s faces we’d say last nights reception was quite the celebration, one folks will be talking about for years to come. Loved working with Rachel Smith Photography as they captured all the fun and got their groove on for a few tunes as well! Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” brought everyone to the dance floor, circled up and singing loudly for the last song of the evening. Wonderful venue, super-fun couple, a party crowd and good tunes made last night special. Congratulations Emily & Tim!
