The rain didn’t phase Samantha & Jake as they said “I do” to each other and sealed it with a kiss yesterday afternoon at the Vineyards at Mary’s Meadows. This beautiful venue opened in 2014 on a historic piece of property in Darlington, MD and was the perfect setting for Mr. & Mrs. Squier’s big day/night! The celebration following the ceremony began with cocktails and appetizers in the Vineyards lower barn and then after guests were invited to the upper area of the barn, introductions of the bridal party and the newlyweds. Parents were introduced by DJ Frank to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” by Stevie Wonder, the Bridal Party to “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)” by Big & Rich and then Samantha & Jake as husband & wife to “Love Shack” by the B-52’s. An official first dance to Brad Paisley’s “Then” came next and that was followed by a welcome toast by Samantha’s Father, toasts by the Maid of Honor and Best Man, a blessing and an amazing buffet meal provided by Mission Barbecue. The next couple hours of the party were filled with dancing to songs by Will Smith, DJ Kool, The Bee Gees, Bruno Mars, Pitbull and more. During the bouquet toss, the Bride intentionally faked the toss and walked the flowers to her brother’s girlfriend and then “as planned”, he got down on his knee to propose! An anniversary dance to Randy Travis’s “Forever And Ever Amen” and Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” and a cake cutting rounded out the evenings events. Friends and family joined Mr. & Mrs. Squier on the dance floor for a final set of music that they selected, “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge into Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” before grabbing U.S. flags to wave as the Bride & Groom made their exit. We enjoyed working with the Vineyard’s Staff, our friends from Editing Life Videography, Mission Barbecue, Affairs Extraordinaire by Marta and loved the cake from Desserts by Rita and flowers by Johathans Weddings & Flowers. More then anything else we are proud to have been a part of Samantha & Jake’s Wedding Day!
