The Cloisters Castle is a wonderful venue settled high on a hill in Lutherville, MD among 60 acres of secluded woods. The Cloisters reflects the beauty and grandeur of medieval Europe, with delicately carved wood, exquisitely detailed stained glass, and ornately designed wrought iron. Emily & Russell chose the Cloisters for their wedding ceremony and reception site. Yesterday’s festivities began at 4 pm with a ceremony on the Castle’s outdoor patio. The Vitamin String Quartet’s version of “Just Like Heaven” was Emily’s processional and “This Will Be Our Year” by The Zombies was the married couples recessional. The ceremony was followed by an hour of cocktails and appetizers both inside and outside before DJ Frank Marsden invited everyone to their seats for introductions. Mr. & Mrs. Hull were formally introduced and then danced their first dance to Nick Cave’s “Into My Arms”. Toasts/welcoming remarks were made by Emily’s Father and Russ’s Mother and then the newlyweds and their guests were treated to an amazing buffet meal provided by Rouge Catering. After dinner, guests joined the Bride & Groom in the Castle’s chapel room for a cake cutting and then they were invited to the living room area for parent’s dances. Emily and her Father danced to “Woman” by John Lennon and Russ and his Mother shared a dance to “In My Life” by the Beatles. Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” opened up the party portion of the night and that was followed by songs by; Billy Idol, Blondie, The Isley Brothers, David Bowie, Rob Base, Wilson Pickett and many more. The Hull celebration closed out with a round of applause for the Bride & Groom and the sounds of “Purple Rain” by Prince. Thanks to the Cloisters’s staff, Rouge Catering, The Markows Photography team, Janda Florist, and Monumental Moments Photo Booth for being great vendors to work with and a special thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Hull for having us be a part of their big day.
