Sunday afternoon at Pond View Farm in White Hall, MD, Jessica & Jakob got married! The day started at 4 pm with an outdoor ceremony that featured classical selections and a recessional to Jackie Wilson’s “(You’re Love Keeps Lifting) Higher Me Higher”. Everyone moved to the Farm’s pavilion for cocktails while the Bridal Party had pictures taken before being invited to find their tables and seats inside the Farm’s Barn for the reception. DJ Frank Marsden introduced Parents of the newlyweds while playing “All You Need Is Love” by the Beatles, Bridal Party members to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)”, and the new Mr. & Mrs. Klaus were formally introduced as a married couple to Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon”. They had a first dance to “L-O-V-E” by Nat King Cole, toasts were made by Jessica’s Father, the Matron of Honor, and Best Man and then everyone enjoyed a buffet meal made with love by Pond View’s Pit Crew. Before kicking the reception into “party mode”, DJ Frank asked guests to join the newlyweds as they cut their cake to “Jessica” by the Allman Brothers Band. He then invited Jessica and her Father to the dance floor for their dance to “Unforgettable” by Nat & Natalie Cole and followed that up with a Mother/Son dance to “Days Like This” by Van Morrison for Jakob and his Mom. Walk The Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” was played next and brought the party crowd out. Songs by artists like; Bruno Mars, AC/CD, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, ABBA, and many more kept everyone grooving throughout the evening. Just before 9 pm, all married couples were encouraged to dance to an anniversary dance that featured music by Jason, Mraz, Chicago, and Edith Piaf. The end of a near perfect day featured a last dance to “Come To Me” by the Goo Goo Dolls and a glow stick send off for Jessica & Jakob. We thank them, their vendor team, and our friends at Pond View for a wonderful Sunday in northern Harford County.
