Katherine & Dominic’s Reception / The Oaks Waterfront Inn

Mr. & Mrs. Serio, congratulations! Yesterday was Katherine & Dominic’s big day. They held their wedding reception at the Oaks Waterfront Inn located in Maryland on a cove off the Chesapeake Bay, just an hour from Annapolis and minutes from St. Michaels, Easton and Oxford. The newlyweds enjoyed cocktails and appetizers along with their guests before being formally introduced into their reception by DJ Frank Marsden. All couples walked in to various songs selected by the Bride and Groom. Katherine & Dominic made their grand entrance to “Something Like This” by The Chainsmokers & Coldplay and then danced their first dance to “Overwhelmed” by Tim McMorris. Katherine remained on the dance floor and danced with her Father to Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful” and then Dominic danced with his Aunt to “You’ll Be In My Heart” by Phil Collins. The Father of The Bride took the microphone next to welcome everyone and made a toast to his daughter and new son-in-law that included a snippet of Earth Wind & Fire’s “September” and some other fun bits. A wonderful served meal was enjoyed by everyone before the dance party started. DJ Frank Marsden had 99% of the over 200 guests up and grooving all night with songs by Michael Jackson, 69 Boyz, The Killers, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and more. There was a cake cutting and cupcakes were available to guests, but there were no other formal events, just a party. That party wrapped up with a last song; “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey and shuttle buses to an after hours event. DJ Frank was surrounded by some very nice, festive folks last night and the love for the newlyweds was obvious. Thanks to the Oaks Staff, Shane with Cork & Banner Films, Raise Your Glass Events, and the new Mr. & Mrs. Serio!
