Kelly & Akasha are now Mr. & Mrs. Purohit! Last night at the Maryland Zoo’s Mansion House they had their ceremony and reception. Guests began arriving around 5 pm for the 5:45 ceremony and enjoyed an early cocktail “half-hour” prior to finding their seats. Parents and Bridal Party members entered the ceremony to “Passenger Seat” by Death Cab For Cutie and Kelly’s processional was to an piano version of the Foo Fighter’s “Everlong” by Elevator Sky. The married couple recessed to “Beautiful Day” by U2 and then enjoyed a true cocktail hour with their families, friends, and some of the Zoo’s Animal Abassadors. Later on, DJ Frank Marsden invited guests to find their seats for the reception and then formally introduced Mr. & Mrs. Purohit in to Jay Rock’s “Hood Gone Love It”. Kelly & Akasha welcomed and thanked their guests, the Best Man raised a toast, and everyone enjoyed a buffet meal provided by the Hunt Valley Catering crew. The dancing portion of the night started with the newlyweds first dance to Al Green’s version of “I Want To Hold Your Hand” followed by a parents dance set to a medley of songs selected by the Bride & Groom. All guests were encouraged to get up and shake a leg and they did all night long! Not one slow dance was played, just a high energy celebration from 8:30-10:30! Songs by artists such as; Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Beyonce, Drake, Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, DJ Snake, and more set the tone for some fun! Kelly & Akasha were wonderful to work with and we appreciate their laid back, fun loving attitudes. Last night was a success thanks to the hard work of fellow vendors; Monumental Moments Photo Booth, the guys with Daniel Bostwick Photography, and the Zoo’s Staff. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Purohit!
